When the Message Landed: Closing My Keynote in Atlanta
One message. One room. One moment I won’t forget.
At the NYC Mastermind Experience in ATL, I reached the end of my keynote and looked out at the room. I had come to share the heart of SEEN: that who you are matters before what you produce, and that people are carrying stories we can't always see.
Then the room responded.
The applause was meaningful, not because I needed a room to approve of me, but because I could feel that the message had reached people. Something I'd carried into that room was no longer mine alone.
The photo catches part of that response. The video catches the close of the keynote.

Why that response mattered
When you stand in front of people, you don't know every story sitting in the room. You don't know who has been the strong one for so long they've forgotten how to ask for help. You don't know who looks confident but still wonders if anyone sees them beyond their work.
That's why I don't want SEEN to be another line that sounds good from a stage. I want it to give people language for what they've lived, and room to be honest about who they are without having to earn that room first.
A keynote ends. People go home. The real question is what they carry with them after the applause.
For me, that closing moment was a reminder to keep showing up with the message. Not to chase a reaction, but to make space for one more person to recognize that they were never invisible.
I'm grateful for the invitation, for the room, and for the people who received it. 🎤
