Award-Winning Author | Born To Risk: Veterans Inaugural Edition

Man, this one means something.

I'm honored to officially be recognized as an Award-Winning Author for Born To Risk: Veterans Inaugural Edition.

When I think about the journey from serving as a combat medic in the Army to becoming an author and sharing pieces of my life with the world, I'm reminded that none of the journey is wasted.

Not the hard parts. Not the painful parts. Not the parts I would have skipped if I could have. All of it had a purpose. All of it was building something I couldn't fully see yet.

I Didn't Start Writing for Awards

I want to be honest about that.

I didn't start writing because I wanted recognition. I didn't start writing because I thought I had something impressive to say. I started writing because I realized that the things we survive, learn from, and grow through can become something that helps somebody else.

That's the whole reason.

When you've been through something hard, you have two choices. You can carry it quietly and let it stay yours alone. Or you can turn it into something that reaches somebody who's in the middle of what you already came through.

I chose to write because I believed my story had a purpose beyond me. And this award is confirmation that the decision to share it was the right one.

I was born to risk, so others can live with purpose.

From Combat Medic to Award-Winning Author

There's something I want you to understand about that journey.

When I was serving as a combat medic in the Army, I wasn't thinking about books. I wasn't thinking about platforms or movements or awards. I was thinking about the mission in front of me. About the people beside me. About doing the job with everything I had.

That's still how I operate. Mission first. People first. Do the work with everything you have.

But what I've learned since leaving that chapter is that the skills you build in one season of life don't disappear when the season changes. The discipline. The resilience. The ability to keep moving when conditions are hard. The commitment to something bigger than yourself. All of that transferred.

It transferred into entrepreneurship. Into leadership. Into writing. Into the SEEN Movement. Into every room I've walked into since.

None of the journey was wasted. Not a single part of it.

What This Award Actually Represents

Yes, I'm proud of this award. But I'm even more grateful that my story has a purpose beyond me.

This recognition isn't just about a book. It's about every person who reads it and finds something in it that helps them take a risk they've been afraid to take. Every veteran who sees their own story reflected in it. Every person who needed permission to believe that what they've been through can become something that helps somebody else.

That's what Born To Risk: Veterans Inaugural Edition is about. And that's what this award represents to me.

Faith. Purpose. Impact. Legacy.

Still grateful. Still growing. Still building.
