Day 4 Bonus | Maliyah Miller — What Does Being SEEN Mean to You?

DAY 4 BONUS | WHAT DOES BEING SEEN MEAN TO YOU?

I asked Maliyah Miller one question:

“What does being SEEN mean to you?”

I love when young people are aware of who they are.

And yes, Maliyah is my daughter. So hearing her answer hit a little different for me.

For her, being SEEN means being able to be who she is without the mask and without feeling like she has to prove anything.

As a father, I love hearing that.

The world will give you plenty of reasons to question who you are, compare yourself to somebody else, or feel like you have something to prove.

So when a young person understands the importance of showing up as who they really are, I pay attention to that.

Knowing who you are matters. Being able to stand in who you are without the mask and without having to prove anything — that’s being SEEN.

Here’s Maliyah’s answer.
