From Philadelphia to Purpose: A Guinness World Record and a Bigger Vision

On May 30, 2026, I stood in Philadelphia alongside an incredible group of leaders, authors, entrepreneurs, and visionaries as we participated in a successful Guinness World Record achievement.

The record itself was historic.

But for me, the story behind it is what matters most.

The Record Was Made. The Legacy Continues.

For many people, a Guinness World Record is the finish line.

For me, it feels more like a starting point.

This journey was never about collecting a title or adding another accomplishment to a résumé. It was about being part of something bigger than myself. It was about contributing to a project designed to preserve stories, wisdom, and experiences that can impact lives long after we're gone.

I had the honor of participating as a Legacy Author, contributing my chapter, "Seeing Before Receiving."

A chapter built on a lesson I've had to learn repeatedly throughout my life:

Sometimes God shows you something long before you ever see it become reality.

Seeing Before Receiving

There have been seasons in my life where I could not see the outcome.

I could not see the opportunity.

I could not see the purpose.

I could not see how the pieces would come together.

Yet somehow, deep down, I knew I needed to keep moving forward.

That lesson has followed me through grief, leadership, fatherhood, business, faith, healing, and every major transition in my life.

The truth is, many of us spend years waiting to believe in ourselves until we see results.

But faith often works in reverse.

You have to believe before you receive.

You have to trust before you understand.

You have to move before everything makes sense.

That is what "Seeing Before Receiving" represents.

More Than a Record

Standing in that room, holding a Guinness World Record certificate, I found myself reflecting on how unlikely this moment would have seemed years ago.

As a young man, I never imagined becoming an author.

I never imagined writing multiple books.

I never imagined building a brand, launching a movement, hosting conversations, mentoring others, or standing alongside leaders from around the world as part of a Guinness World Record achievement.

Yet here we are.

Not because everything went perfectly.

Not because life was easy.

But because God remained faithful through every chapter.

Even the difficult ones.

Especially the difficult ones.

Why This Matters

The accomplishment itself is exciting.

But what matters more is what it represents.

It represents perseverance.

It represents growth.

It represents saying yes to opportunities that feel bigger than your comfort zone.

It represents believing that your story matters.

Because the truth is, every person has a story.

Every person has overcome something.

Every person carries experiences, lessons, and wisdom that could help someone else keep going.

Too many people stay silent because they believe their story is ordinary.

I no longer believe that.

Stories change lives.

Stories build bridges.

Stories remind people they are not alone.

The Connection to SEEN

If you've followed the journey of W23 and the SEEN Movement, then you already know the mission has never been about apparel alone.

The mission has always been about helping people feel seen.

Seen by God.

Seen beyond performance.

Seen beyond titles.

Seen beyond mistakes.

Seen beyond pressure.

The Guinness World Record achievement is another reminder that purpose often grows one faithful step at a time.

The same message that fuels the movement remains unchanged:

You were never invisible.

What Comes Next

Philadelphia provided something I didn't expect.

Clarity.

The record was made.

New relationships were formed.

New opportunities emerged.

The vision became bigger.

The mission became clearer.

And the responsibility became greater.

The work continues.

The conversations continue.

The movement continues.

The legacy continues.

Final Thought

If there is one lesson I hope people take from this experience, it is this:

Do not wait until you see the entire path before you start walking.

Trust what God has shown you.

Take the next step.

Stay faithful.

Keep building.

Keep growing.

Keep believing.

Because sometimes the greatest blessings in life are first revealed long before they are received.

And sometimes, what looks like a record on the surface is really a reminder of God's faithfulness underneath it all.

The record was made.

The legacy continues to be built.
