Someone Was Always Watching — A Story About Stephen Miller
The following is a leadership story shared by Tony Anderson, Department Supervisor, about his experience being led by Stephen Miller.
Steve, thank you. I watched you lead through some incredibly stressful situations, and no matter what was happening, you remained calm and brought both the situation and the people around you back on track.
You listened, you gave advice, and those conversations became part of who I am today. Someone was always watching, and for me, that someone was you.
God gives some people the ability to be a lighthouse, keeping others away from the rocks. Steve, I was the one watching. I was the one who didn’t hit the rocks along the shoreline.
The lessons I learned from you went far beyond business. I applied them to life. Because of leaders like you, I can honestly say that while my clothes may be tattered from life’s briars and my boots may be muddy, I’m still standing on the Rock.
I am truly grateful and blessed.
