This Is for the Kid Who Doesn't Know What to Do
I am not going to waste your time with an introduction.
If you clicked on this, you already know why.
Something is heavy right now. Maybe you cannot name it. Maybe you have been carrying it so long it just feels like normal. Maybe you woke up this morning and did not know how to explain to anyone why getting out of bed felt like the hardest thing in the world.
This is for you.
You Are Not Crazy
Whatever you are feeling right now, I need you to hear this first.
You are not crazy. You are not weak. You are not too sensitive. You are not too much. You are not making it up.
What you are feeling is real. The weight is real. The confusion is real. The pain is real.
And the fact that you cannot explain it does not mean it is not there. Some of the heaviest things in life do not come with words. They just sit on your chest at 2 in the morning and dare you to pretend they are not there.
You are not crazy for feeling it. You would be crazy for pretending you did not.
I Know What It Feels Like to Not Know What to Say
There is a particular kind of loneliness in struggling with something you cannot explain.
People ask you what is wrong and you say nothing because how do you describe something that does not have a shape yet. How do you ask for help when you are not even sure what you need. How do you tell someone you are not okay when you have been performing okay for so long that even you are not sure where the performance ends and the real you begins.
So you stay quiet. You keep it moving. You act like it is fine because fine is easier than trying to explain something that might not even make sense.
I have been there. More than once.
And I want you to know that the silence is not a character flaw. It is what happens when you have never been shown that it is safe to speak. When every time you have been vulnerable in the past something went wrong. When you learned early that being honest about your pain costs something you could not afford to pay.
But here is what silence costs when you hold it too long. It starts to convince you that nobody would understand anyway. That you are alone in this. That the weight is just yours to carry forever.
That is a lie. And you need to hear that directly.
You Were Not Built to Carry This Alone
I do not care what you were taught. I do not care what the world around you has modeled. I do not care how many times you have seen people push through without saying a word and call it strength.
You were not built to carry this alone.
Nobody is. That is not how we were designed. That is not how we heal. That is not how we grow into the people we were created to be.
The strongest people I have ever known are not the ones who carried everything alone. They are the ones who finally decided to stop pretending and let someone in. That decision, right there, is one of the most courageous things a person can do. Not because it is easy. Because it is terrifying. And they did it anyway.
Here Is What I Know About You
I do not know your name. I do not know your story. I do not know what happened or how long it has been happening or how many times you have tried to shake it and could not.
But I know a few things that are true about you right now.
You are still here. That matters more than you know.
You are still searching. That is not weakness. That is the most human and courageous thing there is.
You clicked on something today that you did not have to click on. Some part of you is still fighting. Some part of you has not given up. Some part of you is still looking for a reason, a word, something that says it is worth holding on.
Hold on.
The Version of You That Is Struggling Is Not the Full Story
The hardest part of being in a dark season is that it starts to feel permanent.
Like this is just who you are now. Like this is what your life is. Like the version of you that is hurting and confused and exhausted is the final version, the real one, the one that was always underneath everything else.
It is not.
You are not your worst season. You are not your lowest moment. You are not the sum of every time something went wrong or every time someone made you feel like you did not belong or every time you fell short of who you were trying to be.
You are still being written. This chapter, the hard one, the one that does not make sense yet, is not the last page. It is not even close to the last page.
You Were Never Invisible
I need you to hear this one more time before you keep scrolling.
You were never invisible.
Not to God. Not in this story. Not in the version of your life that is still being written. The real you, the one underneath the performance and the survival and the mask you have been wearing just to make it through the day, that person was always seen. Always known. Always worth fighting for.
You do not have to earn that. You do not have to perform your way to it. You do not have to fix everything before you deserve to be seen.
You are already seen. Right now. In this moment. In the middle of the struggle. Before you figure it all out.
That is what SEEN. means.
Not that everything is okay. Not that the pain is not real. But that you are known and valued and needed even in the middle of the hard parts.
Especially in the middle of the hard parts.
What to Do Right Now
I am not going to give you a ten-step plan. This is not that kind of moment.
But I will give you this.
Tell one person the truth today. Not the performance. Not the everything is fine version. One person. One honest sentence about where you actually are. It does not have to be perfectly worded. It does not have to make complete sense. Just tell one person something real.
If there is no one, write it down. Say it out loud in an empty room. Say it to God. Externalize it somehow, some way, so that it stops living only inside your head where it has been getting louder with nothing to push back against it.
And if you are in a place where the weight has become too heavy, please reach out to someone who can help. The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available 24 hours a day. Call or text 988. You do not have to be in a full crisis to use it. You just have to be struggling. And that is enough.
You are not alone in this. Even when it feels like you are.
You were never invisible. Not even on your hardest day.
Someone Sees You.
The SEEN. Movement exists for the people who have felt overlooked, unseen, and unsure of their worth. If you are ready to do the work of understanding who you actually are underneath all of it, SEEN Leadership Coaching is a place to start. Real conversations. Real identity. No performance required.
